BLOWTORCH RECORDS FAQS
Frequently Asked Questions
We're here to help bands with releasing and promoting their music so it can be heard. These are some of the questions we are often asked. If you have any others, please get in touch.
Blowtorch Records is a friendly, ethical website and record label set up by Richard in 2018, based in Galway on the West coast of Ireland. The idea is to give unsigned, independent bands a digital space and promotion for their recorded music. We look after publicity while you make music and leverage the power of the collective for the good of everyone. Read our manifesto blog to learn more. Our bands tend towards the noisier, punk/postpunk end of the spectrum with some electronica thrown in for good measure. We can arrange for physical releases on CD and vinyl. Additionally, we help you make money by selling your merch (T-Shirts, CDs, vinyl) in our online shop. We look forward, not back. Blowtorch Records is The Future Sound Of Ireland.
For a relatively small city perched on the edge of Europe, Galway has an amazingly vibrant music culture. It encompasses everything from traditional Irish, through post punk and metal to hip hop and dance.
The last few years have seen a resurgence in original music with the likes of The Clockworks and NewDad going on to massive international success. The local scene is booming too with a DIY culture and great labels, promoters and venues such as Rusted Rail, Chainbreaker Records, Rua Records, A Modern Movement, Aras Na Gael and Black Gate
Your free web page will contain your biography, imagery, videos, social media links and tracks which can be set to stream or free/paid download.
