Mouth Ulcers have announced their debut album You’re Not In Heaven, set for release 23 April via LAB Records (Friendly Fires, Basht), and shared pulsating lead single Lady Rust.

Emanating from London’s shadowy underground with debut EP Silent Pictures, the fast-rising four-piece are redefining modern goth through a lens of post-punk revivalism and cinematic atmosphere and gathering a significant following as they go.

Blending the stark, emotional minimalism of Joy Division with the romantic gloom of The Cure and the angular intensity of Bauhaus, Mouth Ulcers craft a sound built on melodic bass-lines, wiry guitars, and cavernous baritone vocals. Positioning themselves at the forefront of a new gothic resurgence, one that feels both reverent to the past and urgently contemporary, their ascent has been swift; whilst their aesthetic, rooted in atmosphere, vulnerability, and emotional intensity, suggests a band built for longevity.

On their new single, frontman Zak Watson added: “Lady Rust tells the story about an ancient vampire that guards the land of a former Manor House. The house is slowly deteriorating, walls are falling apart and collapsing like the skin on her bones. Lady Rust continues to live on as a legend of the land with many trying to visit the house but few managing to escape.”

Electro-punk trio YAANG return with new single Leech' and a series of headline UK tour dates this October. The single will also be released on limited edition 7 inch vinyl by Cracked Ankles.

Produced by Al Groves (Bring Me The Horizon, Cast) and mastered by DFA 1979’s Jesse F. Keeler, Leech is a blistering dancefloor rocker from one of the most buzz-worthy bands around right now. Tackling the conflicting push and pull between sober thoughts and drunken ego, the new single comes crashing in with a pulsing, jagged energy and YAANG’s trademark attitude, ready to light up venues this October.

As the band explain: “Leech has been a live staple since it was written, we’re happy to have a definitive version that hits as hard as we’d hoped. This is our Dancefloor call - you should make the most of it because we won’t ask twice”

Following YAANG’s recently released seven minute epic Horsepower is God, the arrival of Leech coincides with a UK headline tour for the band, taking in London’s Old Blue Last on 29 October and Manchester’s YES Pink Room on 30 October.

Over the last year, YAANG have steadily built their formidable reputation as a live band. With Manchester's music scene arguably the most exciting in the country right now, they occupy a lane all of their own. Where many of their contemporaries favour introspection, YAANG deliver the glorious, sweat soaked afterparty; chaotic, euphoric and impossible to forget.

Their frenetic, high energy performances have become word of mouth legend, earning them an ever-growing and fiercely loyal following. Named in the NME 100, YAANG’s list of supporters is growing exponentially and now includes Huw Stephens, Steve Lamacq, Emily Pilbeam, Chris Hawkins, Indie Forever, New Music Fix (BBC Radio 6 Music), John Kennedy, alongside praise from The Line of Best Fit, DIY and Duran Duran’s Simon Le Bon. With more new music due to be released soon, 2027 may well be the year of the rat.
