Flower Rock Rain is the first single from Search Results' upcoming album Information Blip. It's a delirious trip of giddy wordplay and off beat instrumentation with a gorgeous summer psych sound.

It's out now on all steaming platforms and the album will see a Blowtorch vinyl release in the Autumn.

Search Results provide a different slant take on the current Irish post punk/alt rock scene with a beguiling mix of melody, harmony and spoken word all set to tight grooves which veer from post punk to pop to jazz.

Sharing vocal duties, Fionn Brennan (guitar), Jack Condon (drums) and Adam Hoban (bass) formed Search Results after moving to Dublin in 2019. They bonded over a love for punk and garage rock, emulating the energy of bands like The Vaselines and The Velvet Underground. Like Fontaines DC, they are all graduates of Dublin's music college BIMM.

Lyrically dense with a mixture of spoken word and an earworm melody, it features some unusual sounds thanks to the band's collaboration with Rhys Mayes and Callum Browne of the Belfast-based psych-pop band The Daisy Chain. They add autoharp and distorted lap-steel guitar to the band’s usual guitar, bass and drums set-up to great effect.

Without being particularly influenced by any one artist we hear hints of Pavement, Black Midi, Beck, Belle & Sebastian, Lou Reed, and John Cale era Velvet Underground. Eclectic.

The release will be followed by an Irish co-headline tour this July with psych meisters Thee U.F.O including gigs in Limerick, Cork, Sligo, Belfast and Dublin.
