Garage punk trio Adore leave Blowtorch Records and release their first single Show Me Your Teeth for UK independent label Big Scary Monsters

Track: Show Me Your Teeth

Band: Adore

Released: May 8 2024

Galway trio Adore sign to UK label Big Scary Monsters

On the day we hosted our West x Sound West showcase in Galway's iconic Róisín Dubh, the Oxford, UK independent label Big Scary Monsters (Lambrini Girls, Bicurious) announced that they had signed Adore. The night was a fitting end to their sojourn with us as they played a brilliantly sweaty set in a packed room.

Blowtorch Records will always be the label which gave them their start by recording their first two tracks (Postcards and Stay Free Old Stranger) and putting out their first physical release - a classic 7" single containing those two tracks.

Tighter than three peas in their pod, the track rattles along on a crest of new wave insouciance and delivers a pop sensibility reminiscent of early Blondie

Their first single for the new label is Show Me Your Teeth. One of our favourite tracks of 2025 so far is Perfume Genius (ft. Aldous Harding) and No Front Teeth so it looks like we need to start a dental playlist. Send in your suggested tracks for an all killer no filler(!) list.

Tighter than three peas in their pod, the track rattles along on a crest of new wave insouciance and delivers a pop sensibility reminiscent of early Blondie. Naoise's drumming is a worthy tribute to their brilliant stick man Clem Burke who shuffled off his mortal drum stool recently.

The band are undertaking a short tour of the bottom half of the UK in May along with two gigs in Paris.

They have been added to the lineup for Ireland's All Together Now festival on the weekend of July 31; and also are appearing at Brighton, Manchester and Edinburgh psych fests.
