Dead Reckoning is the first new material from In Athens since last year's Mirrorism EP and is out now on streaming services with a very limited vinyl release in early October
Single: Dead Reckoning
Artist: In Athens
Released: September 4 26 2026

Galway post punk/post gaze four piece In Athens have released their new single Dead Reckoning on all streaming platforms. It is the first new music since their debut EP Mirrorism in 2025. There will be a second single Voltage Party in early October and the two tracks will see a very limited vinyl release as a lathe cut 7" single on red vinyl around that date.
Dead Reckoning is a fuzz-bass driven monster of a track with the gauzy vocals of Gráinne Bleasdale, sometimes twinned with guitarist Manolis Pates, riding a loud/quiet dynamic which continually adds interest. This is a band which means business.
With a unique sonic palette In Athens weave songs that envelop listeners in a warm, immersive embrace. Each track feels like a slow dive into a pool of ferocious melody - one that stays with you for days.

In Athens are (L-R) Manolis Pates (guitar/vocals), Gráinne Bleasdale (vocals/keys), Mosey Byrne (drums) and Brian Ruane (bass).
The two singles were recorded (like the EP Mirrorism) by Dan Doherty in his Dublin Darklands Audio studio.
Dead Reckoning/Voltage Party will be available as a limited edition (25 only) 7" single, lathe cut on translucent red vinyl. These are available to pre order here:
