Galway alt indie band Noble release second single Kiss Goodnight
Kiss Goodnight is the second single to be taken from Noble's debut album The Witching Hour which will release on October 29 on streaming and vinyl

Further to the debut single from Galway alt indie rock outfit Noble Warm Air, they have released a second Kiss Goodnight. This heralds their debut album The Witching Hour which will be released on October 29.
Kiss Goodnight is a heady blend of The La's/Cast joyous acoustic energy, a hit of Lonnie Donegan skiffle and early jazz inflected rock and roll.
Driven by acoustic guitar and propulsive 60s Brit-rock energy, the track features biting, Lennon-esque lyrical irony and Kinks-style kitchen sink drama, building to a roaring brass crescendo that evokes a 1920s speakeasy at full tilt.
Kiss Goodnight is a heady blend of The La's/Cast joyous acoustic energy, a hit of Lonnie Donegan skiffle and early jazz inflected rock and roll. If Warm Air was the languorous afternoon sipping wine in the sun, Kiss Goodnight is the liquor fuelled evening which follows, sweaty in a basement club.
“I wanted to create a sound that combined the hedonistic excess of a speakeasy in the 20s, with a shootout in a saloon,” says Si, Noble’s frontman and songwriter. “Ed Harcourt is doing his best Scott Joplin impression on the piano and Al Cassidy lets rip in true rock’n’roll fashion on lead guitar. These elements, plus a driving bassline, brass stabs, and a love triangle lyric, make the song really exciting to hear and play.”
Noble are Si Noble, Gráinne Bleasdale, Mosey Byrne (Gráinne and Mosey are also part of Blowtorch band In Athens), Alan Cassidy and Brendan Feeney.
The album was recorded by Si, Alan and Ed Harcourt with violin provided by Ed's wife Gita Harcourt-Smith
The Witching Hour is available to pre order as a limited edition (150 only) 12" vinyl, pressed on black vinyl.
The band play a launch gig in Galway's Blue Note on Sunday November 1. They will also play a joint headline with Ed Harcourt on Sunday November 8 in the Róisín Dubh.
