Nixer release new versions of their second single 'Magnolia Mouth'

Magnolia Mouth was Nixer's second ever single. To coincide with its use in a TV advert, they have reimagined it for 2025 and also added an Arveene remix

Magnolia Mouth was Nixer's second ever single originally released in 2020 and has since become something of a cult club classic. As Four Four magazine noted at the time "the strong Irish accents coupled with a fusion of synths and guitar, creating an incredibly unique, but also a very familiar new wave sound, has left us fascinated and in need of more Nixer tunes, much more."
Now to coincide with the track being used in a Sky TV advertising campaign (for Fierce Mild alcohol free beer), Nixer have released a new 2025 version and also a remix by legendary Irish DJ and producer Arveene. This is a streaming only release and is available to purchase digitally on Nixer's Bandcamp page.
Emerging from the dual cities of London and Dublin, Nixer is the electric collaboration lead by Seán Keenan.
After gaining widespread acclaim for their 2022 debut concept EP PEOPLE FEEL, a vivid six-track journey through the emotional spectrum of a night out, Nixer returned in 2024 with their sophomore EP, I Hit The Town And The Town Hit Me Back.
Nixer’s music has earned rotation on RTÉ with support from Dan Hegarty, Graham Smyth and has been widely supported by BBC 6Music, including support from Iggy Pop, Lauren Laverne and Steve Lamacq, as well as key UK tastemakers John Kennedy (Radio X) and Gabi (NTS Radio). The music has also been spotlighted on BBC R1, X-Posure, RTÉ, KEXP, and international tastemaker blogs. Their energetic, synth-heavy live show has taken them from Electric Picnic and Other Voices to showcases like The Great Escape and London Calling Amsterdam.
Their 2024 UK tour with The Mary Wallopers, Gurriers and support slots with The Clockworks and Sprints have only further cemented their reputation as one of Ireland’s most vital new electronic acts. With lyrics that cut deep and beats that command movement, Nixer is a bold voice for a generation caught between club lights and city nights, longing and release.
