After two trailing singles, Sligo alt punks Some Remain have released their debut EP Feel Low and have a run of July gigs to promote it.
Artist: Some Remain
EP: Feel Low
Release: July 18 2025
Sligo noise punk band Some Remain have released their debut 5 track EP, Feel Low, via Blowtorch Records. It is available on all streaming platforms and a 12" violet vinyl record.

Trailed by two singles Death Defying Stunts and title track Feel Low, the EP includes three other new songs - Marvelous Medicine, On Tap and Henri.
Recording took place in Sligo. Drums and sax (on Henri) were tracked in Rumble Rehearsal Studios. Further tracking for guitar, bass, vocals and percussion took place between the band's houses.
The band note: "In the late summer of 2024 just after recording had been finished, we were in touch with Jamie Hyland. We were aware of her connection to Gilla Band, M(h)aol and similar noisy punk acts and so were thrilled to work together. Jamie mixed the title track Feel Low, which we were nearly afraid to mix ourselves due to the ambitious nature of the song. She also mastered the entire EP.”
The band played an EP launch show in Furey's Sligo on Thursday July 17, 9pm. Further dates are:
July 19 Wipeout Festival, Sligo
July 24 Róisín Dubh, Galway
July 26 Swagman, Sligo

Some Remain are a high energy independent punk band from Sligo. They line up as (L-R) Matthew (Drums), Jamie (Vocals), Leo (Bass) and Colm (Guitar). Their recorded output manages to capture the high energy mayhem of their live shows which are noisy, unpredictable and always great craic.
