Goldbug is the moniker of Irish/French artist Danilo Ward. Raised in a religious commune in the quiet isolation of rural Provence, his music draws inspiration from forgotten places and the creatures that inhabit them. Now based in Dublin, Goldbug crafts songs that drift into unfamiliar territory, with sweeping strings, dusty mellotrons, splashes of brass, and his soft, hazy voice.
This is not an official Blowtorch release, it is Goldbug's independent record, however we're helping spread the word on this stunning album. Danilo is the bassist in Dublin slowcore band of all living things for whom we did do an official Blowtorch vinyl release - Cold Plunge.
