LA's noisesome foursome release latest single

Our very own LA-based sonic warriors, Jagged Baptist Club, are back with Haunted By The Night. It's the third single from their soon-to-be released album Temptation Death House and is our track of the week. They are playing a residency in the Silverlake Lounge and have also just released a brilliant video for their previous single Chop x8. Read our review here. Both tracks are included on our limited edition cassette sampler, available to buy now in our shop.

Enda Burke's lockdown series feature

Enda Burke's lockdown with my parents photo series

Enda Burke is a good friend of Blowtorch Records and also features in one of our podcasts. As a street photographer, with street life on hold in lockdown, he decided to focus on the people closest to hand. The result is an award-winning series, Homebound With My Parents, which turns lockdown into theatre. He now has some serious recognition with recent articles in both The Guardian and The Observer. He plans to make a book out of his series and on the back of his success aims to experiment with a different approach to photography. Keep an eye out for this talented snapper.

Our latest playlist

Our September playlist is up and running with new tracks from TV People, Punching Peaches, Liana Forte, Virgins, The Bug Club, Emperor of Ice Cream and Orla Gartland. Plus a selection of deep cut oldies for your listening pleasure as the nights draw in.

Upcoming release from Liana Forte

i'm programmed is the latest single from Liana Forte and is out on streaming platforms on September 10.

The track is about being ”programmed” with old beliefs, mindsets and society's expectations. And struggling with those or choosing to live the life the way you really want to live - to know and express yourself, feel and make your own dreams come true.
