London post-punk risers Alien Chicks release new single Illuminati out via Hideous Mink Records (Opus Kink, Y) & SO Recordings (Enter Shikari, Deadletter, Big Special).

Marking their first slice of new music since the release of second EP Forbidden Fruit earlier this year, Alien Chicks’ electrifying live show has been showcased throughout the UK and Europe this past summer. Standouts slots at the likes of Glastonbury and The Great Escape have reinforced their glittering potential, as well as their biggest London headliner yet at a sold-out Oslo, Hackney in May and tour supports alongside acts such as Lambrini Girls and Big Special.

Armed with a collection of diverse influences and a fearless approach to their genre, Alien Chicks continue to push boundaries and define expectations. Primed to head out on their biggest headline run to date across the UK and Europe this October, Alien Chicks will be playing a mammoth show at The Garage, London, in addition to support slots with both Sprints and The Wytches, ahead of what promises to be a thrilling 2026 that will feature the release of their highly anticipated debut album.

Detailing their new track, the trio stated: “Illuminati is a hate letter to the music industry. Being part of a tight knit DIY music scene who are all struggling together, we feel it’s part of our duty to hold onto this community and to not let it be infiltrated by those who claim to be music lovers but are not. This is a song for the scene and for those who understand what being in a band is all about.”

Ahead of a debut EU headline run and a nationwide UK support tours with Bilk and GANS this autumn, Brighton's ELLiS·D returns with new single I Want To be Everything You Desire out via boutique label Crafting Room Recordings. Combining the extravagance and glam-rock sensibilities of the likes of The Moonlandingz and New York Dolls, with the dark lyrical sensitivity and gothic intensity of Savages, Ellis’ latest effort is packed with a rocket-fuelled freneticism that’s as restless and unrelenting and his tireless work ethic.

Recorded in a single 10 hour session at RAK Studios with Shuta Shinoda (Jehnny Beth, Hot Chip, Spiritualized), Ellis is a continuous touring presence too: by the end of 2025, including his worldwide performances as the drummer for Fat Dog, he and his band will have played 150 shows.

I Want To be Everything You Desire was first conceived in April during a tour supporting (and drumming for) Far Dog. It encapsulates Ellis’ uneasy yet liberated livewire on-stage persona, as he explains: “I wrote a bunch of ideas for the lyrics on a drive between shows on a tour in April with Fat Dog, where we were supporting as well. I was on a high from performing twice a night and loving every second of each show, and the lyrics are a reflection of that feeling, where I can step into a character and portray a version of myself that I struggle to replicate in day-to-day life.”

Track: Changeling

Witch Post announce their signing to Partisan Records with new single ‘Changeling’

Witch Post announce their signing to Partisan Records, where they join Geese, Blondshell and PJ Harvey. To celebrate the news, Alaska Reid and Dylan Fraser enchant with their new single Changeling.

The track leans into Witch Post’s widescreen: big power chords, crashing drums and an explosive chorus that feels ripped from a dream of ‘90s arena rock. But true to form, Witch Post cast their own spell, twisting the familiar into something eerily seductive and emotionally raw, leaving a song that feels like a grunge-rock anthem touched by something spectral.

With Changeling, the band leave a note:  “We met a changeling that inspired this song. We didn’t realise it 'till a year later…

Once knew a changeling Julie was her name

Foxglove & roses painted tears on her face

I knew she was restless, I knew she had pain

Then she tried to consume me we were never the same”

Witch Post is a Gemini-like meeting of minds that happened entirely by chance (or fate, if you prefer). In another stroke of coincidence, they discovered they are from towns which share the same name - one in Scotland, the other in Montana. Alaska's music is drawn from the dark atmospherics of the American indie scene, and Dylan's is pop but if it were warped by a house of mirrors.

The duo sparked intrigue through early singles like Chill Out and Rust which earned praise from The Line of Best Fit, DORK, PAPER, Clash, Notion, Wonderland and Stereogum amongst others, announcing them as one of the brightest and buzziest emerging acts.  Witch Post will headline a short run of UK + European dates this autumn.
