The Book is the second single from Nixer’s forthcoming EP I hit the town and the town hit me back and further burnishes their reputation as one of the most exciting acts to emerge from London’s fertile alternative scene.

it fizzes with the visceral energy of a hands-aloft dancefloor yet also shows Nixer's development with sophisticated production touches and some creamy, trancey synths.

Following on from the success of lead single Second Hand (which sold out its limited vinyl release), The Book continues the act’s run of dizzying singles, diverse from both a sonic and thematic perspective. As you'd expect it fizzes with the visceral energy of a hands-aloft dancefloor yet also shows Nixer's development with sophisticated production touches and some creamy, trancey synths.

Lyrically The Book is about living in a euphoric, dreamlike state; inspired by reading and how this simple act can have such a transformative effect on one’s imagination. The track was composed whilst reading Sputnik Sweetheart by Murakami which inspired the song’s themes of unrequited love and longing.

Nixer are Seán Keenan and Simon Gardner and they deliver dancefloor friendly, uptempo and visceral electro synth wave which is delicately balanced with the perfect amount of pop sensibilities.

The Nixer sound is a fusion of two people on two sides of the Atlantic - Seán in London and Simon in New York. Two very different musical backgrounds juxtaposing to position Nixer in a place where their sound is truly unique and original yet always developing. Recorded, produced and mixed in a bedroom in London, LA, and New York City. Mastered by Rude 66 in California.

The new EP I hit the town and the town hit me back is available to order now on gorgeous transparent yellow vinyl. The first 25 orders will receive a free CD and insert sheet of the album artwork.

There is also an early bird offer which nets you the new Nixer vinyl EP AND the previous EP People Feel on black vinyl AND a free CD and insert sheet of the album artwork
