Noble release debut album The Witching Hour

Noble blend introspective storytelling with richly textured indie rock on their debut album The Witching Hour
Album: The Witching Hour
Artist: Noble
Released: October 29 2026

The Witching Hour is the debut album from Galway alt indie-pop band Noble out now on streaming services, vinyl and CD. The full length release follows two well-received trailing singles Warm Air and Kiss Goodnight.
These releases highlight Noble’s ability to move between intimacy and bold, cinematic expression, and set the tone for the elegantly crafted set of songs on The Witching Hour.
The title track, as songwriter Si Noble relates, "is all about insomnia. It’s that time when your head hits the pillow. All you want to do is shut your eyes and drift off, but it’s the time when all thoughts, insecurities and demons come into your head and revolve around in it, and it becomes sort of deafening.”
Though this single is largely introspective, the album as a whole tackles a range of external, contemporary themes.
“The theme going through the entire record is me, I suppose,” he explains. “I don’t mean for that to sound egotistical. I’m the prism of the things I sing and comment about. That’s relationships and loss and pain, and the realities of being a certain age. We’ve all had crossroads in our life we try to circumnavigate. Do I turn left or do I turn right? Looking back at occasions when you have turned left and perhaps you should’ve turned right. All those things – it’s a bit of a melting pot of all of that stuff.”
The album was produced by Ed Harcourt in his Oxfordshire Wolf Cabin studio and mastered at Abbey Road. It brings together the contrasting elements of Noble’s songwriting - tenderness and intensity, melancholy and uplift - into a cohesive and evocative body of work.
With a sound that draws from classic influences such as The Beatles, Elliott Smith, Blur and Father John Misty while remaining distinctly their own, this Noble debut reflects an artist refining his voice with clarity and depth. The songs capture the fragile tension between connection and solitude, offering listeners music that feels both deeply personal and universally resonant.
Noble are fronted by Si Noble, an Irish-based singer-songwriter, whose music blends introspective storytelling with richly textured indie rock, shaped by more than two decades in the West of Ireland’s alternative scene. A seasoned performer, he first emerged as the frontman of Mugger Dave, releasing What’s She Doing Here? in 2010, and later as the lead singer of indie-rock band Cranky Face, before stepping into a compelling songwriting career that showcases a more personal and expansive creative vision.
Noble will play a launch gig in Galway's Blue Note on Sunday November 1 with support from local risers Sakura. They play a double headline with Ed Harcourt in The Róisín Dubh on Sunday November 8.

Noble are Si Noble, Gráinne Bleasdale, Mosey Byrne (Gráinne and Mosey are also part of Blowtorch band In Athens), Alan Cassidy and Brendan Feeney.
The album was recorded by Si, Alan and Ed Harcourt with violin provided by Ed's wife Gita Harcourt-Smith
