Jagged Baptist Club Join Blowtorch Records

Recently signed to Blowtorch Records and bursting out of the industrial city of Vernon in Los Angeles, we are thrilled to bring you Jagged Baptist Club. The club consists of Blake Stokes (guitar, vox), Morgan Ponder (drums), Josh Boyd (synths) and CJ Ramsey (bass). They sit in their own space between noise artists, motorik punk and post rock yet always with a pulsing groove and an eye for a melodic hook.

Their music sounds otherworldly; recognisable noise with nods to their European influences yet simultaneously like nothing else.

New release Temptation Death House is the first single off the upcoming album of the same name. A slab of synths, built around an unstoppably sexy drum and bass groove, it winds its way through the city like an Anaconda on its way to a guillotine.

Warm, noisy, sleazy, kinetic, sprawling and cool - Jagged Baptist Club are the perfect L.A. band and we're delighted to bring them to European ears. Follow them on Spotify here.

Blowtorch Vinyl Compilation LP announced

It's been a long time coming but we’re delighted to announce that our first compilation LP has finally gone off to the vinyl pressing plant. A Plan For Something features twelve Blowtorch Records bands/artists and a great cover designed by Enda de Búrca (@endadeburca.art on Instagram). Delivery should be early May and it will be going into our shop as a pre-order in the next couple of weeks.
